This September, Bowman Hal presents a collaboration with Almine Rech Gallery, featuring an exhibition of works by Aaron Johnson in Madrid.
The project brings together two galleries with a shared focus on contemporary painting and international dialogue. Almine Rech contributes a selection of works that reflect its ongoing engagement with Johnson’s practice.
Johnson’s work is known for its vivid use of color, layered imagery, and a balance between figuration and abstraction. His paintings are held in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation, the Hudson Valley Center for Contemporary Art, and Fundación MER in Madrid.
The exhibition offers a close look at Johnson’s recent work and supports Bowman Hal’s aim to create meaningful exchanges between artists, galleries, and audiences.
